  • 1 cup butter, unsalted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon  baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon  pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon  salt,  (omit if using salted butter)

Instructions
