How To Make Air Fryer Bagels
Making 2-ingredient bagels in an air fryer is a straightforward and easy, here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Make Greek Yogurt Bagels Dough
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 3-5 minutes. Whisk together the self rising flour and thick yogurt in a large mixing bowl until a dough ball forms. Use your hands, silicone spatula, or wooden spoon. This makes it easier to work the dough together.
If you want to use a stand mixer, use a dough hook to mix the 2-ingredient dough on medium speed. Blend the ingredients until a dough forms.
Step 2: Divide Dough Into Balls
Form the dough into a ball and place it on a lightly floured surface; knead the ball of dough for a couple of minutes. Cut the ball into 4ths, then roll them between your hands to form 4 equal-sized balls.
Step 3: Form Bagel Shapes
Roll the dough balls on the work surface into a long rope shape, about 8 inches long. Bring the ends together and pinch to form a circle. Repeat with the other dough balls. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the bagels with the egg wash with a pastry brush, add your bagel seasoning.
Step 4: Air Fry Weight Watcher Bagels
Place the yogurt bagels in the basket, egg wash side up, so they aren’t touching. You may need to do this in batches. Set cook time for 8-10 minutes until golden brown on the outside. Let cool slightly before serving.
Step 5: Serving Delicious Yogurt-Based Bagels
Serve with your favorite toppings, peanut butter, Instant Pot Homemade Cream Cheese, melted butter, or cinnamon sugar.
Air Fryer Bagels Recipe Tips
- Consistent Dough: Ensure the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour are thoroughly mixed to form a smooth, uniform dough.

- Egg Wash for Shine: Brush the bagels with an egg wash (a beaten egg white) before air frying for a golden and shiny crust.
- Don’t Overcrowd the Air Fryer: Cook the bagels in a single layer without touching each other.
- Cool Before Slicing: After air frying, let the bagels cool for a few minutes.
- Storage: Store any leftover bagels in an airtight container.
- Experiment with Flavors: Feel free to experiment with the dough by adding spices, bagel seasoning, herbs, or sweeteners for different flavor profiles.
