Air Fryer Hawaiian Pizza Bagel Bites Recipe Tips

  • 🍍 Pat the Pineapple Dry – Too much moisture can make the bagels soggy, so blot the pineapple before using.
  • 🧀 Use Shredded Mozzarella or a Blend – For melty, stretchy cheese that holds all the toppings in place.
  • 🔥 Preheat Your Air Fryer – A hot air fryer helps crisp the bagel bottoms for that perfect crunch.
  • 🥯 Don’t Overload the Bagels – Keep toppings balanced to avoid a messy cook or uneven heating.
  • 🌿 Add Fresh Garnishes After Cooking – Pickled onions, sweet peppers, and cilantro add fresh flavor and vibrant color.

Storing

  • Storing: Store leftover bagel bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let them cool completely before storing to maintain texture.
  • Freezing: Freeze fully assembled but uncooked bagel bites on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag. They can be frozen for up to 2 months and cooked straight from frozen.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–6 minutes until warmed through and crispy. Avoid microwaving if you want to keep the bagels crisp.

Air Fryer Hawaiian Pizza Bagel Bites Recipe Faqs

Can I use regular bagels instead of mini bagels? Yes, but cooking time may be longer, and the bites won’t be as small or snack-sized.

What type of cheese works best? Shredded mozzarella or a mozzarella-cheddar blend melts well and complements the flavors perfectly.

Can I make these ahead of time? You can assemble them in advance and refrigerate or freeze before air frying for quick cooking later.

How do I prevent soggy bagels? Pat dry the pineapple to reduce moisture and avoid overloading toppings.

Can I use a conventional oven instead of an air fryer? Yes, bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bagels are crispy.
