Ingredients Needed

- Cake Mix: You can use white cake mix, lemon cake mix, or yellow cake mix.
- Blueberries: Any blueberry pie filling will work in this recipe. You can use store-brand or homemade blueberry pie filling.
- Butter: I used melted butter since when I made my air fryer peach dump cake, a few people had problems with the cake mix flying around. Either melted or pats of butter worked in my Air Fryer Oven.
How To Make Easy Air Fryer Blueberry Dump Cake

Step One: Grease your ramekins or casserole dish with cooking spray. Spread the blueberry pie filling on the bottom of the casserole dish.
Step Two: Add the cake mix on top of the blueberry pie filling. Then pour the butter (or use pats of butter) on top of the cake mix.

Step Three: Add your cake to the air fryer basket and cook at air fryer temperature to 320 degrees F and set cook time for 10-12 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Air Fryer Blueberry Dump Cake Recipe Tips
- Don’t overfill ramekins: Leave a little space at the top so the cake doesn’t spill over while cooking.
- Use room temperature butter: This ensures even melting and helps the cake top crisp up nicely.
- Check doneness early: Depending on your air fryer, cooking times can vary—look for a golden top and bubbling filling.
- Add mix-ins if desired: A handful of chopped nuts, oats, or a sprinkle of cinnamon can add texture and flavor.
- Serve warm: It’s extra delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Storing Instructions
- Refrigerate: Let the dump cake cool completely, then cover and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Reheat: Warm individual portions in the microwave for 20–30 seconds or in a preheated 350°F air fryer for 3–5 minutes.
- Freeze: You can freeze leftover cake (without butter pats on top) in an airtight container for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or air fryer before serving.

Easy Air Fryer Blueberry Dump Cake Recipe Faqs
Can I use fresh blueberries instead of canned pie filling? Yes! If using fresh blueberries, toss them with a little sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch to thicken the juices before adding to your ramekins.
Do I have to use a specific type of cake mix? No, any boxed yellow or white cake mix works well. Avoid chocolate or heavily flavored mixes for the best classic dump cake flavor.
Can I make this in a larger pan instead of individual ramekins? Absolutely! Just adjust the cooking time slightly, as larger pans may need a few extra minutes for the center to cook through.
Can I use butter substitutes? Yes, melted margarine or coconut oil can be used, but butter gives the best flavor and crisp topping.
How do I know when the dump cake is done? Look for a golden brown top with the filling bubbling around the edges. You can also insert a toothpick into the cake portion—if it comes out mostly clean, it’s ready.
Can I make this gluten-free or dairy-free? Yes! Use a gluten-free yellow cake mix and a dairy-free butter alternative to accommodate dietary needs.
Can I add extras like nuts or spices? Definitely! Chopped pecans, walnuts, or a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg on top can enhance flavor and texture.

Love your recipes and learning to use my air fryer.
Just one suggestion.
PLEASE LIST what size ramekins should be used in the initial description.
Kind of frustrating to get thru the directions and find I don’t have the right size ramekins. I always read the article first then the directions, only to find no mention anywhere of random size.
Laurie
It won’t matter what size you use. I try to advocate for using what you have.
