Air Fryer Apple Pie Baked Oatmeal Recipe Faqs

Can I use steel-cut oats for the recipe? Although steel-cut oats are amazing, they will not cook up thoroughly in this recipe. I have not found success with making steel-cut oats in the air fryer.

What size bowl or pan is best for the baked oats? Do you love baked oats for breakfast? If so, you might be wondering what size bowl or pan to use. You can use either 8-ounce ramekins or 6-ounce ramekins. The cooking time will not change that much. Remember to watch the oatmeal as it bakes up, and remove it when the oatmeal is fully cooked.

Can I make this in a muffin or in a cake pan? Muffin tins and cake pans are popular kitchen tools for a reason—they’re versatile! You can easily make this in a muffin tin or cake pan if you do not have ramekins. If you use a cake pan, you will need to double the recipe for enough oatmeal to fill the cake pan. The cooking time will change. Use the same temperature, but cook until it’s fully baked.

How To Freeze Apple Oatmeal This is an easy recipe to freeze; let it cool to room temperature and remove the ramekins oatmeal. Place the room temperature oatmeal into a freezer-safe container or freezer bag. They will last in the freezer for about 2 to 3 months. When ready to eat it, let it defrost in the refrigerator overnight and reheat in the microwave. Add some milk or water to help rehydrate the oatmeal.
