How To Make Air Fryer Angel Food Cake

Step One: In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Gently fold in the flour, cream of tartar, vanilla, and salt until fully combined.

Step Two: Spray a Bundt cake pan with cooking spray and lightly dust with flour. Pour the batter into the pan, filling it about two-thirds full.
Step Three: Place the prepared Bundt pan in the air fryer and cook at 320°F for 11–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Easy Air Fryer Angel Food Cake Recipe Tips
- Spray your pan generously with cooking spray and dust with flour, so the cake slides out.
- Do not remove the Angel Food Cake until the cake cools down.
- If you do not have a Cream of Tartar, substitute the white vinegar or lemon juice.
- This is a light cake, do not over-mix. Otherwise, you will end up with a dense cake.
- Use a smaller Bundt Cake Pan for this cake. Since you are making it in the air fryer, the best pan is small, which will fit most air fryer baskets and models.
Storing Instructions
Store the cooled air fryer angel food cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. To keep it fresh longer, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to a week.

Air Fryer Angel Food Cake Recipe Faqs
Can I make this cake without an air fryer? Yes! You can bake it in a conventional oven at 325°F for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
How do I know when the cake is done? The cake is ready when it is golden on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Can I add flavors or mix-ins? Absolutely! Try adding cocoa powder, citrus zest, or folding in fresh berries for a twist.
How should I store leftovers? Keep the cooled cake in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days or wrap tightly and refrigerate up to a week.
Can I make this cake gluten-free? Yes, substitute the cake flour with a gluten-free cake flour blend for a light, airy alternative.
Can I use other extracts besides vanilla? Definitely! Almond, lemon, or orange extracts work beautifully and add a unique flavor to your angel food cake.
Why did my cake collapse or turn dense? Overmixing the batter, underwhipping the egg whites, or opening the air fryer too early can cause the cake to deflate. Make sure to fold gently and cook fully.
