How To Make Wendy’s Cinnabon Pull-Apart Recipe

Step One: Start by laying out your dough. Since you are using the Crescent Rounds, see how they are already pre-cut, they make your job a snap.
Step Two: Melt your butter in a dish, and place it in the microwave. Use a pastry brush to spread the butter over the dough. Note: You will only use 1/2 of it. You will need more to prepare the baking dish. Then sprinkle the buttered dough with sugar and cinnamon.
Step Three: Then in your baking pan (air fryer safe pan), place the brown sugar and the rest of the melted butter, mix well.

Step Four: As you roll your dough, place them onto the baking sheet, right on top of the brown sugar and melted butter. Set the pan into the air fryer basket once you have finished making all of your cinnamon rolls. Set your timer for 9 minutes at 290 F. After the 9 minutes are up, check them. If they are still dough, add a couple of minutes.
Step Five: Meanwhile, mix the icing ingredients, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and the cream in a small bowl. Mix well until it’s smooth. When the cinnamon rolls are cooked through, pour the icing directly over the cinnamon rolls.

Recipe Variations
- You can use frozen biscuit dough for this recipe, the recipe and cooking time will be about the same. Make sure it’s fully defrosted.
- Add some other filings, in the ground cinnamon mixture, I have used mini chocolate chips, diced pecans or walnuts, or even shredded coconut.
- You can omit the topping if you want.
Wendy’s Cinnabon Pull-Apart Recipe Tips
- Use cold dough – Chilled crescent rounds are easier to cut and shape without sticking.
- Don’t overfill – A light cinnamon sugar layer ensures even baking and prevents leaking.
- Air fryer spacing – Leave space between rounds so they puff up without sticking.
- Check for doneness early – Start checking at the 10-minute mark to avoid overbaking.
- Frost while warm – Add the cream cheese frosting while the pull-aparts are warm so it melts slightly into every crevice.
Storing, Freezing & Reheating Instructions
- Storing: Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days to keep them fresh. Let them come to room temperature before serving or reheating.
- Freezing: Freeze the baked, unfrosted pull-aparts in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and frost just before serving.
- Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F for 3–4 minutes or microwave for 20–30 seconds until warm. Add a fresh drizzle of frosting after reheating, if desired.

Wendy’s Cinnabon Pull-Apart Recipe Faqs
Can I make this recipe without an air fryer? Yes! You can bake the pull-aparts in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 15–18 minutes until golden and cooked through.
Can I use regular crescent rolls instead of crescent rounds? Crescent rounds work best for this recipe, but regular crescent roll dough can be used—just cut and shape into smaller pieces.
Can I add extra cinnamon or sugar? Absolutely! Feel free to adjust the cinnamon and sugar to your taste for a stronger flavor.
How do I make the cream cheese frosting smoother? Use softened cream cheese and sift powdered sugar before mixing to achieve a creamy, smooth frosting.
