- Toothpicks (Soaked in water for at least 10 to 15 minutes)
How To Make Air Fryer Bacon Roses

Step One: Place the bacon flat on a cutting board, then roll it up, ensuring the top is slightly puffed out more than the other side. Secure the rolls by inserting toothpicks in an X shape, placing one toothpick on each side of the roll.

Step Two: As you shape the bacon into roses, place them in the air fryer basket or tray. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and maple syrup, then use a pastry brush to coat the bacon roses with the glaze. Set the air fryer temperature to 400 degrees F (air fryer setting) and set cook time for 5-7 minutes. After 5 minutes, brush more glaze over the bacon roses and air fry for an additional 5 minutes.

Step Three: Assembling the bacon roses is half the fun! Everyone loves crispy air fryer bacon, and now you can turn it into a bouquet of flowers! Once the bacon has cooled to room temperature, add your “stems.” You can use a fake flower bouquet (just remove the flowers) or a bunch of fresh herbs as the perfect base for your bacon roses.

Air Fryer Bacon Roses Recipe Tips
🥓 Use Thick-Cut Bacon: Thick-cut bacon works best for these roses, as it holds its shape and crisps up nicely.
🍁 Perfect Glaze: Make sure to brush the bacon with a generous layer of maple sugar glaze for that sweet and savory flavor.
🌡️ Don’t Overcrowd: Arrange the bacon roses in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
⏱️ Check for Crispiness: Air fry in intervals, checking every 5 minutes to ensure the bacon reaches the perfect golden crispiness.
🌿 Herb Stems: Use fresh herbs or fake flowers as the stems to add a creative and fragrant touch to your bacon roses.
Storing
🧊 Storing Bacon Roses: Store leftover bacon roses in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Be sure to let them cool completely before storing to maintain their crispy texture.
❄️ Freezing: You can freeze bacon roses for up to 1 month. Arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet, freeze until firm, then transfer to a freezer bag for longer storage.
🔥 Reheating: Reheat the bacon roses in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes until crispy and heated through.

Air Fryer Maple Sugar Glazed Bacon Roses Recipe Faqs
🍖 Can I use regular bacon instead of thick-cut? Yes, you can use regular bacon, but thick-cut bacon holds its shape better and crisps up more evenly.
🍯 Can I use honey instead of maple syrup? Yes, honey can be used as a substitute for maple syrup, though it will give a slightly different flavor profile.
🌡️ How do I know when the bacon roses are done? The bacon should be golden brown and crispy. Air fry in intervals, checking every 5 minutes to avoid overcooking.
🍴 Can I use fresh herbs as stems? Yes! Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme can add a fragrant touch as the “stems” for the bacon roses.
🍽️ Can I make these ahead of time? While they’re best served fresh, you can prepare the bacon roses in advance, store them in the fridge, and reheat them in the air fryer for a few minutes before serving.

Not all bacon comes from the belly, what Americans call Canadian is actually not called that in Canada. It’s called Back Bacon and in some areas called Pea-meal Bacon. It is cut from Pork Loin by the back. I’m Canadian and the first time I heard it called Canadian Bacon my boyfriend and broke out laughing and asked what the heck is that. We were in a Canadian border store and the clerk said, Oh I thought you were Americans, I’ll show you where the Back Bacon is! Twenty years ago and I still smile. I’m looking forward to making theses yummy roses!
