Easy Air Fryer Blueberry Pie Recipe Tips

  • Let Dough Soften: Allow the pie dough to sit a few minutes before shaping for easier handling.
  • Seal Crust Well: Press edges firmly to prevent filling from leaking during air frying.
  • Create Vent Holes: Cut vents in the top crust to let steam escape and prevent soggy filling.
  • Check Doneness Early: Air fryers vary, so check the pie a few minutes before the timer ends.
  • Use Fresh or Well-Drained Filling: If using fresh blueberries, toss with a bit of sugar and cornstarch; if canned, drain excess syrup.
  • Cool Before Serving: Let the pie rest for at least 10–15 minutes to allow filling to set.
  • Optional Toppings: Sprinkle turbinado sugar on top for extra crunch and sparkle.

Storing, Freezing and Reheating Instructions

  • Storing: Store cooled blueberry pie in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 4 days. Keep it covered to maintain the crust’s flakiness and filling’s juiciness.
  • Freezing: You can freeze a fully baked pie by wrapping it tightly in plastic wrap and foil for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating or serving.
  • Reheating: Reheat slices in the air fryer or oven at 300°F for 5–10 minutes until warmed through. This restores the crust’s crispness while keeping the filling soft and juicy.
