Step Three: Place Your Pan Into The Instant Pot

Then cover the bowl with a paper towel and aluminum foil, set the pan on top of the trivet, and set the cooking time on high pressure for 4 minutes; remember to move the pressure valve to the sealing position. ; When the time is up, do a natural pressure release to eliminate the remaining pressure.

Step Four: Cool Your Eggs

When all the pressure has been let down, remove the eggs and place them into a small bowl with cold water and an ice cube or an ice bath for a few minutes, then place them on the cutting board and dice the eggs up.

Some Pro Tips For The Best Pressure Cooker Egg Loaf

  • Spray your dish with cooking spray. Otherwise, the eggs will not fall out.
  • Although the cooking time is 5 minutes, it will take at least 5 minutes for the Instant Pot to come under pressure.
  • Use a baking dish that will fit into your Instant Pot Bowl.
  • This recipe will work in the 3 Quart, 6 Quart, or 8 Quart.
  • If you are using the 3 quarts, you will need to make fewer eggs than making the same recipe in an 8 quart.
  • You can eliminate the egg yolk if you only want to cook an egg white.
  • If you want to use a foil sling or silicone sling to remove the bowl easily, that’s fine; I didn’t find it necessary.

Reasons why the egg loaf may not have cooked all the way:

  • This recipe needs to be done with a natural release. If you do a quick release, the Instant Pot might not fully cook the eggs.
  • Ensure that you leave some space around the baking dish and your Instant Pot; space will help the steam come up and cook the eggs fully.
  • Do not use more than 9 eggs.
