Ingredients Needed

- Raw Peanuts in the Shell: Fresh, unshelled peanuts ready for roasting in air fryer.
- Salt: Enhances the natural nutty flavor and adds savory taste.
- Water (optional): Light soak helps salt adhere and improves roasting.
- Seasonings (optional): Paprika, garlic powder, or spices for extra flavor punch.
How To Make Easy Air Fryer Roasted Peanuts in the Shell

Step 1: If you want extra salty, evenly coated peanuts, soak raw peanuts in a bowl of water with salt for 10-15 minutes. Drain and pat dry before roasting.
Step 2: Set your air fryer temperature to 350°F (175°C) and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes. Toss peanuts in a small bowl with a pinch of salt or your choice of seasonings. Make sure each peanut is lightly coated.

Step 3: Place the peanuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Set cook time for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure even roasting. Peanuts are done when the shells turn golden brown and you can smell that nutty, roasted aroma.
Step 4:Remove peanuts from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve as a crunchy snack or store in an airtight container once completely cooled.

Easy Air Fryer Roasted Peanuts in the Shell Recipe Tips
- Use Fresh Raw Peanuts: Fresh peanuts in the shell roast more evenly and taste better.
- Optional Soak for Salt: Soaking in salted water helps the salt stick and enhances flavor.
- Dry Thoroughly: Make sure peanuts are dry before air frying to prevent steaming instead of roasting.
- Single Layer Cooking: Spread peanuts in a single layer for even browning and crisping.
- Shake Basket: Shake or stir the peanuts every 5 minutes to roast evenly.
- Watch Closely Near the End: Peanut shells can go from golden to burnt quickly, so check the last few minutes.
- Cool Before Storing: Let roasted peanuts cool completely before storing in an airtight container to retain crunch.
Storing Instructions
Let the peanuts cool completely before storing to keep them crisp. Place them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1–2 weeks.

Most ot the other sites say to roast at 350°F for anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour! But my peanuts are so fresh and pretty I didn’t want to risk any waste by burning or uneven roast. So I decided to only roast at 250°F for 15 minutes shaking once. Didn’t add any oil or seasoning. Turned out gently roasted and very pleasant. The peanuts actually tasted good to me just cracked raw from the shell. I love them both ways. Thanks for the guidance.
