How To Make Easy Air Fryer Ranch Potato Chips Recipe

Yukon Gold potatoes washed and cut into bite-sized cubes, skin left on for extra texture.

Step One: Wash the Yukon Gold potatoes and cut them into bite-sized cubes. No need to peel them; the skin adds a nice texture.

Potatoes tossed with ranch seasoning, evenly coated for maximum flavor.

Step Two: Place the potato cubes in a large mixing bowl and drizzle olive oil over them. Toss the potatoes to make sure they are evenly coated with the oil.

Step Three: Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the potatoes. Use as much or as little as you prefer, depending on your taste. Toss the potatoes again to ensure the ranch seasoning is distributed evenly.

Seasoned potatoes placed in a preheated air fryer at 400°F, cooking until golden and crispy, flipped halfway through.

Step Four: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes. Place the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer basket. Set cook time for 15-20 minutes, flip halfway during the cooking process.

Step Four: Sprinkle with a bit of coarse sea salt for extra flavor, if desired.

Easy Air Fryer Ranch Potato Chips Recipe Tips

  • Slice evenly: Use a mandoline or sharp knife to ensure uniform thickness for even cooking.
  • Pat dry: Remove excess moisture from potato slices to achieve maximum crispiness.
  • Don’t overcrowd: Cook in a single layer to allow proper air circulation.
  • Shake halfway: Flip or shake the basket halfway through for even browning.
  • Adjust seasoning: Add more ranch mix or salt after cooking if needed.
  • Serve immediately: Chips are crispiest right out of the air fryer.
  • Store leftovers properly: Keep in an airtight container to maintain crunch.

Storing Instructions

  • Room Temperature: Store cooled chips in an airtight container for up to 1–2 days to maintain crispiness.
  • Reheating: Refresh chips in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes at 350°F to restore crunch.
  • Avoid Refrigeration: Storing in the fridge can make chips soft and lose their crisp texture.
