Easy Air Fryer Lemon Pie Recipe Tips

  • Use an Air Fryer-Safe Dish: Make sure your pie dish fits comfortably in your air fryer basket.
  • Freeze the Crust First: Chilling or freezing the crust before adding the filling helps it stay firm and prevents sogginess.
  • Watch the Bake Time: Air fryer models vary, so check the pie after 10 minutes to avoid overcooking the filling.
  • Cool Before Chilling: Let the pie cool at room temperature before refrigerating to prevent condensation from making the crust soggy.
  • Whipped Cream Last: Only add whipped cream just before serving to keep it fresh and fluffy.
  • Optional Zest Garnish: Sprinkle extra lemon zest on top for added flavor and visual appeal.

Storing Instructions

  • Refrigerate: Cover the pie with plastic wrap or an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • Do Not Freeze: The lemon filling and whipped cream don’t freeze well, as the texture may separate.
  • Serve Chilled: For the best flavor and texture, always serve the pie chilled straight from the fridge.

Easy Air Fryer Lemon Pie Recipe Faqs

Can I use a regular pie crust instead of a graham cracker crust? Yes! You can use a store-bought or homemade pie crust, but you may need to adjust the air fryer cooking time slightly to ensure the crust is fully cooked.

How long should I chill the pie before serving? Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour after baking to allow the filling to set properly.

Can I make this pie ahead of time? Absolutely! You can prepare and bake the pie a day in advance, then add the whipped cream just before serving for the freshest taste.

Can I use whipped topping instead of homemade whipped cream? Yes, store-bought whipped topping works fine. Add it just before serving to keep it from melting or separating.

How do I prevent the crust from getting soggy? Freeze or chill the crust for 10–15 minutes before adding the filling. This helps it stay firm and crisp during baking.

Can I use fresh lemon juice instead of bottled? Fresh lemon juice is perfect and adds brighter, more vibrant flavor than bottled juice.

Can this recipe be doubled? You can double the ingredients, but you may need to bake the pies in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
