If you love a great steak dinner with a homemade sauce, this is the recipe for you. And with the air fryer, the steak is perfectly cooked!

I have been making this dish for years on my grill, and I was planning on making it tonight on the grill, but it was raining, so I thought, why not!

I am so glad that I did because it came out even better! Perfectly cooked, this is a real treat and one that I will be making over and over again in the next couple of months!

What is Flank Steak?

Flank steak is cut from right below the loin. It’s a tender, lean and flavorful piece of meat. It’s also one of the most prized pieces of meat from the cow, which is why it’s rather expensive.

The meat can be grilled, stir-fried, broiled, smoked or air fried. It’s a longer piece of meat. It is the same cut of meat that is traditional used for London Broil, and skirt steaks in classic beef fajitas.

Let the flank steak get to room temperature, which will be about 15 to 30 minutes. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for about 5 minutes. Rub the olive oil or butter all over the steak, and season with salt and pepper.

Set the steaks in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway. Remove the steak, and let it rest for about 5 minutes, before slicing.

WHAT DO YOU USE CHIMICHURRI SAUCE FOR?

This is a very versatile sauce, that can be used in a number of ways.

Traditionally it is served over steak or grilled chicken, but you can also use it in several ways. Some of my favorites are:

  • Dipping Sauce for Garlic bread
  • Mixed into rice
  • Used for a salsa sauce, with tortilla chips

How To Store Fryer Flank Steak

If you have any flank steak leftover, let it cool to room temperature, and then place it into an airtight container. It will last for about 1 to 3 days in the refrigerator.

To reheat, place into the microwave or into the air fryer to reheat.
