WHAT IS A BREAKFAST FRITTATA?
A frittata is an omelet that typically consists only of eggs, cheese, and vegetables or meat. What makes it different from an omelet is that instead of being flipped over in one motion, the ingredients are cooked on both sides. This gives it a more flaky texture and also helps to make sure everything inside gets evenly cooked through.
You can make a breakfast frittata with almost any kind of ingredient you want – but since they’re usually eaten for breakfast, most people use vegetables like tomatoes, green onions, and spinach as well as meats such as bacon or sausage. The best part about them? They’re not too difficult to make!

How To Make Air Fryer Easy Egg and Cheese Frittata
In a small mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and heavy cream (or half and half).
Mix in the cheese, salt, and pepper. Spray your air fryer safe pan (remember the guide is if it is oven safe it’s usually air fryer safe) with olive oil spray or non-stick cooking spray.
Pour your batter into the prepared pan.Set in the air fryer basket or tray at 320 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 6 to 10 minutes.
Note: Due to the differences in an air fryer, make sure the center is fully cooked before you remove it. Just place a toothpick in the center, and if it is not done, just add a couple of minutes.
Recipe Tips and Notes:
Dairy Options: You can substitute heavy cream with whole milk, sour cream, or even yogurt. You can also use dairy alternatives like oat milk, almond milk, or coconut milk. The recipe will remain the same.
Vegetables: Add any cooked vegetables that you wish. Some popular ones are green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and even kale.
Cheese: Use any shredded cheeses. Some great ones are goat cheeses, sharp cheddar, grated Parmesan, and even shredded mozzarella cheese.
Give the frittata a gentle shake to see if it’s done. If you can’t quite feel any resistance, air fry for an additional 5 minutes until firm but still with some give when pressed gently in the center of the pan.
Remember, the Air Fryer Easy Egg and Cheese Frittata will cook even after removing it from the air fryer, so be careful not to overcook.
