This cornbread goes by a lot of different names, depending on where you grew up.
My mother called it Creamed Corn Cornbread, but when I was writing to post this, I notice that most people simply refer to it at Cornbread with Cream Style Corn, and since I want everyone with an air fryer to attempt this, I decided on that name.
But, whatever you call it, it’s amazing and does so well in the air fryer.

Here is a list of Ingredients needed for this recipe–
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamed corn
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
Here are the step by step instructions to make this in your air fryer–
- Start by mixing the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.
- This is the star of this recipe, creamed corn.
- Mix the cream corn into the dry mixture, then add the milk and egg.
- Spray your air fryer safe pan and then put the butter into the bottom of the pan and set in the air fryer at 400 degrees for about 2 minutes, just enough for the butter to melt.
- Once the butter is melted, mix about 1/2 of the butter into the batter, and then pour into the buttered air fryer safe pan.
- Air Fry for 12 minutes 320 degrees F.
- Check the cornbread and make sure it’s cooked all throughout, if it is not, simply flip the cornbread and air fry for another 3 minutes.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!

This is a really easy and delicious recipe. It comes out really moist and delicious in the air fryer. It’s almost the consistency of pudding! This makes a great side dish for any meal.
