Description

Moist, lightly sweet cornbread made with creamed corn and baked in the air fryer at 320°F. Crisp, buttery edges and a tender center in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick, 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamed corn
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Spray a 7-inch round air fryer-safe pan with nonstick spray. Add the butter and air fry at 400°F for about 2 minutes, until melted.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in the creamed corn, then the milk and egg. Add about half of the melted butter and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the buttered pan.
  • Air fry at 320°F for 15 minutes.
  • Test the center with a toothpick. If it's still wet, air fry 3 to 5 more minutes.
  • Cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Air fryers vary, so start checking at 15 minutes. If the top browns before the center is set, cover loosely with foil.
