Batter in Bowl

In a large mixing bowl, mix the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil, and food coloring.

Mix well.

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.

Set the pan into the air fryer, and set the temperature to 320 degrees F for 20 minutes.

When the time is up, place a toothpick in the pound cake, and check to see that the toothpick comes out clean. If not, add another 5 minutes.

Storing and Freezing Pistachio Bread

This is an easy recipe to make and freeze. It will stay fresh on your counter for 1 to 2 days if you cover it with saran wrap. Otherwise, it will harden.

To freeze, let the bread cool to room temperature, wrap it with saran wrap, and then foil. Place the Air Fryer Pistachio Bread into a freezer bag to stay good for 1 to 2 months.

Thaw on the counter or in the refrigerator.

Using Green Food Dye

If you do not want to add food dyes to this bread, that is fine, and I used a chemical-free one I found on Amazon.com to get the traditional color of the pistachio bread.

The color will not be green, will not be the iconic green.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Notes

NOTE: The exact time will depend on the air fryer model you have and the pans you are using. I highly recommend using mini loaf pans as they do better in the air fryer than the larger loaf pans. You will often find the middle not cooking when using the larger loaf pans.
NOTE: This will make 3 mini loaves or 1 regular loaf.
