Ingredients Needed

- Pickle Chips/Slices: Grab your favorite dill pickles or sweet and sour pickles.
- All-Purpose Flour: You can also use gluten-free all-purpose flour
- Cornstarch: Helps crisp up the pickles
- Egg: Use room temperature, large eggs
- Cajun Seasoning: Homemade or store-bought
How To Make Air Fryer Cajun Fried Pickles

Step One: In a bowl, mix the seasoning, flour, and cornstarch. Coat each pickle in the mixture. In another bowl, beat the egg and dredge each pickle in egg wash.

Step Two: Coat each pickle back in the flour mixture and place it in an air fryer basket. Spray with oil and set air fryer temperature to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting and set cook time for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway during the cooking process.

Air Fryer Cajun Fried Pickles Recipe Tips
- Dry the pickles well before coating so the breading sticks instead of sliding off.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket or they’ll steam and lose that crunchy bite.
- Spray lightly with oil to help the coating crisp up without turning greasy.
- Flip halfway through cooking so both sides get evenly golden and crispy.
- Adjust the Cajun seasoning if you like more heat or want to keep things mild for kids.
Storing Instructions
Air fryer Cajun fried pickles are best eaten fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat them in the air fryer at 375°F for 2–3 minutes to bring the crunch back—skip the microwave unless you enjoy sad, soggy pickles.

Easy Air Fryer Cajun Fried Pickles Recipe Faqs
Can I use regular dill pickles instead of spears? Yes! You can slice dill pickles into chips or wedges; just adjust the cooking time slightly to ensure they crisp evenly.
Do I need to preheat the air fryer? Preheating is optional but recommended. It helps achieve a crispier coating on your fried pickles.
Can I make these ahead of time? You can prepare the pickles and coating in advance, but it’s best to air fry them just before serving to keep them crispy.
Can these be baked instead of air-fried? Yes! Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, but they won’t be quite as crispy as the air fryer version.
