Air Fryer Ginger Pork Dumplings are amazing! They are so good. If you have ever made frozen dumplings in the air fryer, these are so much better. They are amazing and so easy to make.
Getting dumplings at the Chinese restaurant is one of my favorite things. They are moist, tender, and filled with a pork and ginger filling. They are usually served with a sauce, usually referred to as gyoza sauce.
The truth is that they are called many different things, depending on where you purchase them, some of the names they go by are potstickers, gyoza, filled wontons, pierogies, or even shumai.
They all fry up beautifully in the air fryer. Light and crispy.

Air Fryer Ginger Pork Dumplings
Traditional dumplings are made from an assortment of fillings but are usually wrapped in commercial sold dumpling wrappers.
Today, I made traditional ginger and pork-filled dumpling filled with Napa cabbage, fresh ginger, oyster, and soy sauce. They are pretty easy to prepare, and they take less than 5 minutes to cook.
Ingredients Used In Air Fryer Ginger Pork Dumplings

- Napa Cabbage
- Scallions
- Minced Garlic
- Oyster Sauce
- Soy Sauce
- Fresh Ginger
- Granulated Sugar
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Water
- All-Purpose Flour
- Dumpling Wrappers

How To Make Air Fryer Ginger Pork Dumplings
In a medium-sized bowl, mix the pork, cabbage, scallion, garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, ginger, sugar, and red pepper flakes, until fully combined. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix the water and flour to make a paste, set aside.
Take out a few dumping wrappers and keep the others fully covered not to get dried out. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of the wrapper.
Dip your fingertip into the water/flour paste and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Pick up the wrapper and start to pinch the edges closed around the filling, making little folds here and there when you can. Make sure there is no air trapped inside.
Place the dumplings onto a sheet tray lined with plastic wrap. Place another piece of plastic on top to keep them covered while you make the rest. Continue with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F, air fryer setting. Spray the basket with olive oil spray and place the dumplings in the basket, not touching.
Spray the tops with more olive oil. You may need to do this in batches, depending on which air fryer you are using.
Air fry for 4 minutes, flip them over, spray again, and air fry for another 2 to 3 minutes until they are the crispness you prefer. Serve with the dipping sauce of your choice.
Where To Find The Dumpling Wrappers In The Grocery Store?
This is one of the most common questions that I get asked, along with where the egg roll or wonton wrappers are located.
Dumpling Wrappers, Egg Roll Wrappers, Wonton Wrappers, and Spring Roll Wrappers are all located in the produce department at your local grocery store. They are usually located next to the tofu and other vegan items.
This recipe uses a special wrapper called round dumpling wrappers. Suppose you can not find them in the grocery store. You can replace them with wonton wrappers. They will not have the standard shape. But the recipe will work the same (including the time).
Are Air Fryer Pot Stickers Crunchy?
Yes, they are almost the same texture and flavor of pan-fried pot stickers. They are crispy and tender on the inside.
The best way to make your air fryer pot stickers crisp up is by the use of the olive oil on the wrappers. This technique really helps the pot sticker crisp up.
Do you need to use round wonton wrappers?
No, as stated before, if you can not find the traditional Dumpling wrappers, switch them out for the wontons.
Since the wonton wrapper is somewhat smaller than the dumpling wrapper, you may need to adjust the filling in the dumpling. This way, the wonton wrapper is sealed.
What should you do if you have any extra filling?
You usually can make dumplings until you run out of the filling, but if you have any extra, saute the filling and make an egg roll in a bowl for dinner, or serve it on top of lettuce cups.
