Air Fryer Chicken Wings with Buffalo Sauce— These are some of the best wings I have ever had in my life. And I am proud to say that I air-fried them myself. They are made perfectly in the Air Fryer. Today, I share my recipe for a classic dish, Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings.
These buffalo wings are perfectly crispy and full of flavor. I tossed them today with a classic sauce, Buffalo, and served them with a homemade ranch dressing.
They are perfect for any occasion; I usually make a huge plate of them during football season. But they are great for a light lunch or when the buffalo chicken wing craving occurs.
Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings are not deep-fried, but they are so much better. They are loaded with flavor but not a lot of fat because I used my air fryer rather than a deep-fryer.

Are air fryers good for chicken wings?
Yes, you will never believe how easy they are.
They are delicious, and yet you made them in an air fryer basket, and they are crisped up to perfection.
Tips for making crispy air fryer wings:
- Do not crowd the air fryer basket. Otherwise, the hot air will not circulate the food, which causes it to crisp up.
- Add a coat of cooking spray before you add the chicken wings. This way, they do not stick to the air fryer basket.
- If you want really, really crispy wings, add a teaspoon or two of baking powder.
- You do not need to preheat the air fryer.
How long does it take to cook wings in an air fryer?
The exact time will depend on what air fryer you are using, but the average time is between 30-40 minutes.
Can you air fry frozen chicken wings?
Yes, my family usually keeps a stash of them in the freezer. There is nothing better than a quick and delicious midnight snack of air fryer wings!
How to reheat chicken wings in the air fryer:
Place the refrigerated wings into the air fryer basket, and set the temperature to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for about 5-10 minutes.
Remove when heated through.
How long do you air fry frozen buffalo wings?
Place the FROZEN buffalo wings into the air fryer basket.
Then air fry your frozen chicken wings at 400° F for 20-30 minutes in the air fryer.
The exact time will depend on what air fryer you are using and the size of the chicken wings. Check your package to see if they are cooked frozen or raw frozen.
Cooked frozen wings will take about 10 to 15 minutes to cook. Raw frozen wings will take longer.
How many wings can fit in an air fryer?
The exact amount of wings that can fit into your air fryer will depend on which air fryer you are using.
Since everyone’s air fryer is slightly different, everyone will fit a slightly different amount in the air fryer basket.
The key is to run the chicken wings in batches, so each batch is spaced out, and every single chicken wing will have a chance to crisp up.
