How To Make Easy Air Fryer Brie Bites

Roll out the crescent dough on a flat surface.

Step One: Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares, about 2×2 inches.

Step Two: Place a piece of Brie in the center of each square and, if using, add a small dollop of fruit preserve. Fold the pastry over the cheese to form a triangle or bring the corners to the center and pinch to seal. Optional: add a small sprig of rosemary, thyme, or chopped nuts before sealing.

Step Three: Whisk together egg and water for an egg wash, brush over the Brie bites, then dip in panko breadcrumbs. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.

Step Four: Arrange the bites in a single layer and set cook time for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with honey or sprinkle with black pepper. Serve warm, optionally with cranberry sauce or balsamic reduction.

Easy Air Fryer Brie Bites Recipe Tips

  • Use chilled dough: Cold puff pastry or crescent dough holds its shape better and puffs up nicely.
  • Cut uniform squares: Even-sized pieces ensure all bites cook evenly.
  • Don’t overfill: A small piece of brie and a little preserve prevent leaks while baking.
  • Watch the air fryer closely: Cooking times can vary; remove bites once golden brown to avoid burning.
  • Optional flavor boosters: Add herbs, nuts, or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor and presentation.
  • Serve warm: Brie is best enjoyed melty; reheat gently if needed.
  • Air fryer basket spacing: Leave space between bites so they crisp evenly on all sides.

Storing Instructions

Let the Brie bites cool completely before storing. Place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2–3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or oven to restore their crispy exterior and melty center. Avoid freezing, as it can affect the texture of the puff pastry and cheese.

Easy Air Fryer Brie Bites Recipe Faqs

Can I make these ahead of time? Yes! Assemble the Brie bites and store them in the fridge for a few hours before air frying. Cook just before serving for the best texture.

Can I freeze them? Freezing is not recommended, as it can affect the puff pastry’s flakiness and the Brie’s creamy texture.

Can I use regular oven instead of an air fryer? Yes! Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and melty.

What fillings work well besides fruit preserves? You can use caramelized onions, jam, honey, nuts, or fresh herbs for added flavor.

Can I make them dairy-free? You could try a dairy-free cheese alternative, but results may vary in creaminess and melting.

How do I prevent the cheese from leaking? Use small pieces of Brie and avoid overfilling the pastry squares. Seal the edges tightly.

How do I reheat leftovers? Reheat gently in the air fryer or oven to keep the pastry crispy and the cheese melty.
