Air Fryer Apple Fries, yummy! These were the perfect snack for my kids today after school. Served with a homemade caramel dip, they were a hit!
This is such a great and healthy alternative to serve instead of french fries. Loads and loads of flavor, and actually healthy for you!! Everyone asked me if you can make fried apples in an air fryer, and the answer, of course, is yes!!
If you are looking for a healthy dessert or appetizer to bring to a holiday gathering, this is the perfect one for you. It has all of the appeals of baked goods, but the crunchy and dipping ability for an appetizer. It is as if both worlds have collided.
The best thing about Air Fryer Apple Fries is that the dish gives the crunch, like a traditional French Fry, but this side dish is actually healthy. Young and old, everyone will love it!

Here Is How To Make Air Fryer Apple Fries

Ingredients You Will Need in Making Air Fryer Fried Apples-
Apple Fries Ingredients:
- Apples

How To Make Apple Fries in Air Fryer-

Spray your air fryer basket with olive oil. Start by peeling the apples and then cut them into wedges. In a small mixing bowl, mix the graham crackers and sugar.

Break the eggs into another small bowl, and then use a whisk to beat them.
Dip the apples into the egg mixture and then into the graham cracker mixture. (Shake after each dip to remove any excess)

Some Common Questions Asked About This Recipe-
What Are The Best Apples To Use?
Any apples that you purchase at the apple orchard of the grocery store will work in this recipe. The key is to use a firm apple that will hold its shape during the air frying process. You want a really firm apple, and there are no soft apples here at the peak of freshness. Some of my favorites are:
- Cortland
- Gala
- Pink Lady
- Braeburn
Should I Peel The Air Fryer Apple Wedges?
That is really a personal decision. Either way, it will work in the recipe. I peeled them since it is easy to do so and makes the apple really better eating, as the skin tends to make it hard.
If you have a peeler, give them a quick peel, as they are a bit nicer to eat without a peel on, and my kids love them so much better. You could use the same method for making air fryer apple wedges.
Why Are They Called Apple Fries
Since they look like wedges and are cut into wedges, they look almost like an apple fry. This is a great treat or snack for the kids and such a healthier side dish!
If you have an apple wedger or looking for a new kitchen gadget, this is a great one; I have had it for years.
Dipper Ideas For Apple Dessert Fries
Traditional these are served with caramel, and I made a great homemade one, but other options are:
- Caramel
- Hot Fudge
- Ice Cream (my kid’s favorite)
- Chocolate Sauce
- Whipped Cream
- Anything you want
Tips for Air Frying Apple Fries
- Start by spraying the air fryer basket with olive oil spray.
- Do not crowd your basket. Only do a single layer of apple fries. Otherwise, they will not cook correctly.
- If you want them to really crisp up, give them a spray of olive oil.
- Serve with a great dipping sauce, my kid’s favorite is my homemade caramel sauce, but any dip is great and kid-friendly.
