Air fryers have been around for years, but they are slowly gaining popularity as people discover how convenient they can be.
Today, with the fresh tomatoes in season, I wanted to give you a true summer meal, snack, or appetizer, which fits the bill. Made with vine-yard tomatoes, fresh basil, and a great crispy toast underneath.
It’s a family favorite, kid-friendly and astutely decline way to make a great appetizer for those hot summer days and nights! Of course, with the Air Fryer, your kitchen will not get hot.

What Is Bruschetta?
Bruschetta is a classic Italian appetizer that is perfect for your next dinner party. It’s made from tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil.
Once it’s all done marinading you can serve it on either French bread or crackers to soak up all of the delicious juices. The Air Fryer makes it amazing since the bread is perfectly toasted.
Bruschetta is also an easy recipe to make ahead of time, so you don’t have to worry about cooking at the last minute!
Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Tomato & Basil Bruschetta
- French or Italian Bread
- Tomatoes
- Fresh Basil
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Minced Garlic
- Balsamic Viengar
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Black Pepper
How To Make Air Fryer Tomato & Basil Bruschetta
Start by cutting the tomatoes, and putting them in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Then thinly slice the basil, and add to the tomatoes. Mix in the shredded Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Let sit, while you prepare the bread.
Grab the roll of French bread, while your mixture is marinating. Slice your bread, and as you slice them, place in a greased, with olive oil spray. Spray the top of the bread with olive oil spray.
Set the air fryer temperature to 250 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 3 minutes. As you use tongs to remove the bread slices, top with the bruschetta topping.

HOW DO YOU PICK A GOOD TOMATO?
Tomatoes are one of the most popular vegetables and for good reason. They’re versatile, they taste great, and kids love them! But when you go to your local grocery store or farmer’s market there are so many different varieties it can be hard to choose which ones will give you the best flavor.
My best advice would be to look for firm tomatoes, with no bruises on them, two words of wisdom would be plump and firm.
