Easy Air Fryer Brazilian Pineapple Recipe Tips

  • Use ripe pineapple: Choose pineapple that’s sweet and slightly soft for the best caramelization and natural sweetness.
  • Pat dry before coating: Removing excess moisture helps the sugar and spice mixture stick better and prevents sogginess.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket: Arrange pineapple pieces in a single layer for even cooking and caramelization.
  • Flip halfway: Turning the pineapple halfway through ensures all sides get a nice golden color and crispy edges.
  • Serve immediately: The pineapple is best enjoyed warm, straight from the air fryer, with the lime juice enhancing its flavor.

Storing and Make Ahead Instructions

  • Storing: Let the Brazilian pineapple cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat briefly in the air fryer or microwave before serving to refresh its caramelized flavor.
  • Make Ahead: You can prep the pineapple and spice mixture ahead of time, keeping them separate in the fridge for up to a day. When ready, coat the pineapple and air fry just before serving for optimal caramelization and taste.
