Then, look at the bottom for some pointers and tips. I have been air frying for years, and I will share my tips that will help you air fry these to perfection.

  1. Place the cookies onto a cold air fryer tray.
  2. Set the temperature to 330 degrees F, air fryer setting for 4 minutes.
  3. Let the cookies cool, after air frying, before you remove them. (They will harden as they cool)
  4. Let the air fryer cool in between batches.

Some Tips–

I have learned a lot in my air fryer journey, here are some tips to get the perfect cookie.

  1. The air fryer needs to be cool. If you want to preheat the air fryer, the dough will simply run off and melt.
  2. Keep the dough cool in between batches, just toss the unbaked cookies into the refrigerator, while you are waiting.
  3. Every air fryer is different. Mine worked at 330 for 4 minutes, your air fryer may take 5 minutes.
  4. Baking them in an air fryer oven is much easier than baking in an air fryer basket. (note: still use the air fryer setting, I don’t want to confuse anyone) I still consider them baking.

How to Make Cookies In An Air Fryer Basket–

Most people will make this error once. They will put the cookie dough onto the basket. Not realizing that when the cookies bake up, the dough will fall through the holes.

So, this is the perfect place to use parchment paper. You simply line the basket with parchment paper. But be careful you need to make sure your dough is carefully scattered around the parchment paper so that it doesn’t become loose and start a fire. This has happened to people.

I purchase the parchment paper, cookie sheets that are pre-cut, from Amazon. as they are easier, and I think it’s worth the money to not have to cut them, while you are wanting to bake cookies.

Can you put aluminum foil in an air fryer?

Yes, it’s a great way to cook those cookies, simply line your basket with foil. Carefully, and be careful not to cover the entire basket that has holes for a reason, otherwise, you may cause a safety hazard. And make sure it is weighted down correctly, so there is no chance fro the foil to catch into the heating element.

And ALWAYS consult with your manufacturer’s instruction manual first, if the owner’s manual says no, the answer is no. Remember every air fryer is different.

Can you cook frozen cookies in the air fryer?

Absolutely, yes. They are awesome in the air fryer. They may need longer than this recipe, but only by a couple of minutes.

Can you put parchment paper in an air fryer?

Yes, as described above.
