How To Make Instant Pot Pork Fried Rice
Start by pressing the saute’ button and then add the oil. Please wait for the oil to heat up, add the pork, and then saute until it’s browned. **Remember to continue to move the pork while it’s sauteing; otherwise, it will burn or stick. Then once the pork is cooked, set it aside.
Then add the olive oil, and saute the onions and garlic. Saute’ until the onions are softened, about 4 minutes. Then add the eggs, rice, soy sauce, broth, and mix well.
Use the rice setting and set the time for 12 minutes. If you do not have the rice feature, just put it for manual high pressure for 12 minutes. When the timer beeps, do a quick release.
Then, open up the lid, mix well, add back the pork and pour into the thawed vegetables. Then press saute’ again, and heat for about 2-3 minutes, until the vegetables are soft and everything is hot. Mix well.
Pro Tips:
- After you cook the pork, make sure your scrape the bottom of the Instant Pot Bowl, to make sure that there are no pork pieces on the bottom. Otherwise, you will get the Burn Notice on the Instant Pot.
- Remove the pork after it’s cooked, if you keep it in, you will end up with dried-out and overcooked pork pieces.
- You can use any frozen vegetables, I always opt-in for mixed vegetables, but you can use any frozen vegetables that you want.
- Take the frozen vegetables out, as you are cooking up this dish, they will be defrosted by then.
How To Store Instant Pot Pork Fried Rice
Let any leftover Instant Pot Pork Fried Rice cool to room temperature, and then place it into an airtight container. It will last in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
You can either reheat the leftovers in the microwave or a small saucepan over the stove, over medium heat. Add about 1/4 cup of water or broth before reheating.
