How To Make Air Fryer Leftover Turkey Pie

Step One: In a large bowl, add your frozen vegetables, and then mix in the turkey and soup mix, mix well.

Step Two: Spray the ramekins with cooking spray.

Step Three: Press your biscuits into the greased ramekins, and press them in, so that the biscuit dough, goes up the sides.

Step Four: Add about 3 tablespoons of filling on top of the biscuits.

Step Five: Place the biscuit dough on top, and then press the edges together.

Step Six: Set the ramekins into the air fryer basket, set the air fryer temperature to 320 degrees F, and set cook time for 10-15 minutes, or until the pastries are fully cooked.

Recipe Notes
- Ramekins: This can be cooked with any size ramekins, you can use either 4 ounces or 8 ounces, the cooking time will not change that much.
- Timing: Since all of the air fryers are slightly different, the cooking time will vary from air fryer to air fryer.
- Crust: If you find that the crust is having a hard time cooking up, you can always cook the biscuit dough on the bottom, without any filing, this will help it becomes crispy and fully cooked on the bottom. This will depend on where the heating element is located.
Air Fryer Leftover Turkey Pie Recipe Tips
- Use day-old turkey: Leftover turkey works best because it’s slightly drier and holds up better in the filling without becoming mushy.
- Don’t overfill: Keep the filling level below the top of the biscuit dough so it cooks evenly and doesn’t spill over.
- Even biscuit layer: Press the biscuit dough uniformly along the sides of the ramekin to create a stable crust that holds the filling.
- Check doneness: Air fryer temperatures can vary, so start checking at 10 minutes. The top should be golden and the biscuits fully cooked.
- Optional brushing: Brush the top of the biscuit dough with melted butter or an egg wash for an extra golden, glossy finish.
- Customize the filling: Add leftover veggies like carrots, peas, or corn for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Reheat carefully: If storing leftovers, reheat in the air fryer at 300°F for 5–7 minutes to maintain crispiness without drying out.

Air Fryer Leftover Turkey Pie Recipe Faqs
Can I use a store-bought pie crust? Yes, you absolutely can. Using a ready-made refrigerated crust (or a puff pastry sheet) is highly recommended for speed and ease, especially when cooking in the air fryer.
What size pie should I make for the air fryer? You must use a small, shallow baking dish or individual ramekins that fit in your air fryer basket/tray. A small disposable aluminum pie pan often works well for basket models.
How do I prevent the crust from burning? Air fryers cook pastry quickly. If the crust edges brown too fast, cover them loosely with thin strips of aluminum foil after the first 10-15 minutes of cooking.
How do I ensure the center filling is hot? Since all ingredients (turkey, gravy, vegetables) are already cooked, the goal is to heat it through. Use a thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the filling reaches at least 165 degrees F.
.Can I use leftover gravy in the filling? Yes, leftover gravy is perfect! It binds the filling together and ensures the pie is moist. You may need to add a little flour or cornstarch if the gravy is very thin to prevent a runny filling
How do I get the bottom crust to cook through? Ensure you are preheating the air fryer and that your pie dish is not too deep. Baking for a little longer at a slightly lower temperature can help the heat penetrate the bottom before the top crust burns.
