Pro Tips

Here are some pro tips to ensure your Air Fryer Cast Iron Skillet Brownies turn out perfectly:

  • Preheat the Cast Iron Skillet: Preheat the cast iron skillet in the air fryer for a few minutes before adding the brownie batter. This helps create a crispy crust on the bottom of the brownies.
  • Use Room-Temperature Ingredients: Allow the eggs and butter to come to room temperature before mixing the brownie batter. Room-temperature ingredients mix more evenly and create a smoother batter.
  • Don’t Overmix the Batter: Mix the brownie batter just until the ingredients are combined. Overmixing can result in tough brownies.
  • Grease the Skillet Well: To prevent the brownies from sticking, grease the cast iron skillet generously with butter, cooking spray, or a light oil coating.
  • Monitor Cooking Time: Monitor the brownies in the air fryer. Cooking times can vary depending on the size and model of your air fryer, so adjust as needed.
  • Check for Doneness: Insert a toothpick into the center of the brownies to check for doneness. They are done when the toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs, but not wet batter.
  • Let Them Rest: Allow the brownies to cool in the skillet for a few minutes after removing them from the air fryer. This helps them set and develop a better texture.
  • Serve Warm: Air Fryer Cast Iron Skillet Brownies are best served warm. Enjoy them straight from the skillet or reheat them briefly in the air fryer before serving for that fresh-out-of-the-oven taste.

By following these pro tips, you’ll be able to make perfect Air Fryer Cast Iron Skillet Brownies every time—crispy on the outside, soft and fudgy on the inside, and utterly irresistible!
