Some Common Questions Asked About Making Air Fryer Portobello Mushroom Burgers

How Do You Clean Portobello Mushrooms?

Although most portobello mushrooms come pre-washed it’s always a great idea to clean the mushrooms, before eating.

How To Clean Portobello Mushrooms:

  • Remove the mushroom stem, if still attached, either use a knife and cut it off or twist it off with your fingers.
  • Use a damp paper towel and wipe the dirt off the mushroom.

Never submerged the Portobello mushroom in water. Since it is porous, it will absorb all of the water.

Some Great Topping Ideas

One of the most popular ideas for Portobello Mushroom Burgers is the addition of Swiss Cheese. But there are so many other ways that you can dress up a Portobello Mushroom Burger, here are some of my favorites:

  • Grilled Onions

I’m trying out recipes for my new Ninja Grill & Griddle. Wow! This was a hit…correction, it was a home run!

The recipe was easy to follow and the results simply delicious. I added swiss cheese and spinach, also.

Will definitely be making this again and again. Thank you!
