How To Make Air Fryer Pecan Pie Muffins

Air fryer muffin tin sprayed with cooking spray and filled three-quarters with pecan pie muffin batter

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and chopped pecans until evenly mixed. Stir in the butter and eggs, mixing well until the batter is smooth and fully combined.

Step 2: Lightly spray your muffin tin or silicone cups with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.

Step 3: Place the muffin tin into the air fryer basket or tray. Set the air fryer temperature to 320°F (air fryer setting) and set cook time for 12 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center of a muffin; if it comes out clean, the muffins are done. If not, air fry a few more minutes, checking frequently (cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model).

Air Fryer Pecan Pie Muffins Recipe Tips

  • Use fresh pecans: Toasting the pecans lightly enhances their flavor.
  • Don’t overmix: Stir the batter just until combined to keep muffins tender.
  • Even filling: Fill muffin cups about ¾ full for perfectly domed tops.
  • Air fryer spacing: Cook in a single layer to ensure even baking.
  • Check early: Air fryer models vary—start checking muffins a minute or two before the recommended time.

Storing Instructions

  • Room temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Refrigerate: Keep in the fridge for up to 5 days; warm slightly in the air fryer or microwave before serving.
  • Freeze: Wrap individually and freeze for up to 2 months; thaw and reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes.

  • Mini Muffins: Use a mini muffin pan and fill each cup about ¾ full. Bake at 320°F (160°C) for 8–10 minutes in the air fryer, checking early for doneness.
  • Skillet Option: Spoon the batter into a lightly greased oven-safe skillet or small ramekins. Cover and cook at 325°F until muffins are set and lightly golden on top.
