What Is Salmon?

Salmon is a fish, like other types of fish such as trout. Salmon is the largest member of the salmonid family, and it’s often referred to as ‘king’ or ‘Chinook’ salmon. The name derives from the Latin word for salt because they live in seas and freshwater rivers with high salt content. They’re among the most popular types of seafood eaten in North America, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

Salmon is a type of fish. You can eat it as sushi, or you can grill it with herbs and spices. It’s also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are healthy fats that your body needs for many functions. If you’re looking to add more salmon to your diet, try this recipe!

How To Prep Salmon To Cook:

If you are planning to cook salmon, it’s important to take the time to prepare it properly.

The first step is cutting off any skin that may be present on the fish. Next, remove any bones if they’re still attached and then rinse the fillets under cold running water. Finally, pat them dry with a paper towel or cloth before cooking.

Air Fryer Salmon Tips & Suggestions

Timing: Don’t overcook the salmon: Salmon can be a bit tricky to cook, especially if you have never cooked salmon before.

Different air fryers all have their own way of cooking them. This means that it’s important for cooks not only to check their temperature, about halfway through the cooking process. So, you can make sure that you don’t overcook your salmon.

For best results, use a meat thermometer and check the thickest part of the salmon fillet.

Skin Down or Up In the Air Fryer?: This is one of the most often asked questions about cooking salmon in the Air Fryer. I typically add the salmon with the skin side down first since it will get a better char, but it’s really up to you. Either way, the salmon will be perfectly cooked in the air fryer.

And if you don’t like eating salmon skin, you can remove it. It’s totally up to you, and it will not affect the cooking times.

Preheating: I do not usually preheat my air fryer, which will not affect the cooking time. If you want to preheat it, you can do it, not changing the recipe.
