
Everyone loves Air Fryer Corn Fritters! Today, I made cheesy corn fritters filled with corn and loaded with cheddar cheese. They were air-fried, and they were delicious.
They are the perfect summer appetizer, loaded with corn if you have not made them! They make for a great appetizer or side dish to any meal.
I made these last night with my family’s barbecue dinner. They are so good! You can add anything you want to them. Next time, I will add some bacon for a great Air Fryer Corn Fritter.

What Are Corn Fritters?
If you are reading this recipe, you probably have an idea. They are fried corn cakes! Although there are many different fritters, I made a simple corn cheesy corn fritter today. These are usually fried (deep-fried), but today, I used my air fryer and came up with a savory treat for everyone.
Not only did I use corn, but I also added loads of cheese and sliced green onions. I served them topped with sour cream and diced chives.
Air Fryer Corn Fritters
Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Corn Fritters

- All-Purpose Flour
- Bread Crumbs
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Corn Kernels
- Garlic powder
- Black Pepper
- Salt
- Eggs
- Sour Cream
How To Make Air Fryer Corn Fritters

Combine flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and salt in a large bowl. Mix until combined.

Add in the cheese and the corn kernels until all coated with flour/breadcrumbs mixture, mix until all is combined, and finally add in the corn kernels.
Next, add in the eggs and sour cream. Mix until all is combined. The dough will be very sticky. You can use a fork, or I use my dough hook.

Use a cookie scoop (I like using OXO medium size scoop 1 ½ tablespoon) and scoop up some corn fritter mixtures into a ball. You should have seven corn fritter balls. Use your hand and flatten out each dough to a small but thick pancake.
Place four corn fritters in the prepared air fryer basket and cook for 7 minutes at 370 degrees F on a manual setting. Flip them and cook for an additional 6 to 7 minutes or until golden. You should have only two batches to do.

Repeat this process until there are no more corn fritters. Once the corn fritters are cooked, place them on a cooling rack and cool off for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

You can eat these as an appetizer or as a side dish. I usually serve my corn fritters with a scoop of sour cream.
Any of your favorite dipping sauces will work for this recipe; my son loves to eat his with a blue cheese dressing! So, grab your favorite dipping sauce.
What Type of Corn Can You Use?
You can use whatever corn you have available to you. Fresh corn is the best; however, I used canned since I am not in corn season.
If you use corn, drain the corn.
If you use frozen, thaw the corn, and drain it before using it in the recipe. Otherwise, the mixture will be too wet.

Can You Eat Sweet Corn Fritters Cold
Yes, although they are so much better when they’re heated up. The cheese will be all melty and delicious.
You can eat them cold, but they are so much better when heated up. You can quickly heat them in the microwave or the air fryer.
Can You Make These Ahead?
Yes, they are perfect if you want to make the batter and even air for them ahead. Let them cool to room temperature, and then place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They should last between 2 and 3 days.
Can You Make Freeze Corn Fritters?
Yes, these make a wonderful freezer meal/snack. Simply air fry them, as per the instructions. Then place on a greased baking sheet and pop the baking sheet into the freezer. After about an hour or two, when they are completely frozen, place them in a Ziploc bag. They will stay well for about a month.
To Use From Frozen: Place the corn fritters into the refrigerator or counter, Then spray them with olive oil and air fry them again.

I made this with canned corn and a low carb baking mix. They turned out very good. A little bland suggest maybe adding roasted rep peppers and maybe a little hot sauce. Served with slow cooker chili they disappeared quickly.
