Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Churro Chips
Air fryers are all the rage right now for an excellent reason! They make delicious food with hardly any oil. If you’re looking to try out an air fryer or are already a fan, then you need to try these churro chips! They’re easy to make and taste amazing. Plus, they only require a few simple ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen already. So get cooking!
- Flour Tortillas: You can also make these using gluten-free or low-carb (KETO-Friendly) tortillas.
- Butter: Use unsalted butter.
- Pure Vanilla Extract: This will add great flavor to your churros.
- Ground Cinnamon and Garnauletd Sugar: Makes for the churro flavoring for your chips.
How To Cook Air Fryer Churro Chips
Preheat the air fryer to 370* for 5 minutes. Cut tortillas pizza style.
Melt the butter and stir in the vanilla extract. Toss tortillas in butter.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar. Toss tortillas in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Line the air fryer basket with foil and spray with nonstick spray. Place tortillas in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Crowding: For best results do not crowd your air fryer. Otherwisetherwise, the churro chips will not cook up correctly. You really want to leave plenty of space around the chips so they cook up perfectly.
Flipping: Depenyour air fryer you own. You may need to flip the chips so both sides get cooked to perfection. You can either use a fork or tongs.
Timing: Since every air fryer is slightly different, the cooking time will vary. So remember to check on your chips as they cook up.
Lining Your Basket: Today, I used some aluminum foil. You can also line your basket with parchment paper or a disposable air fryer liner.
How many Churro Nachos can you make per tortilla?
When a regular-sized sized flour tortilla, you can get about eight chips out of each tortilla. When you use a small size, you will get less.
