Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Apple Churro Bites
  • Apple Juice: You can use low-sugar or regular apple juice.
  • Granulated Sugar: If you want a lower sugar recipe or a diabetic-friendly recipe, you can use Splenda Sugar or another sugar substitute.
  • Butter: Use unsalted butter.
  • All-Purpose Flour: This recipe can be easily adapted for gluten-free, by substituting gluten-free all-purpose flour.
  • Apple Pie Spice: Use homemade or store-bought.

How To Cook Apple Churro Bites In the Air Fryer

Prepare the spiced sugar. In a bowl whisk together the sugar and apple pie spice. Set aside.

In a saucepan over medium heat combine the apple juice, sugar, and butter. Bring to a simmer.

Add the cup of flour. With the help of a wooden spoon, stir until incorporated. Remove from heat.

Let it cool down and transfer to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Line the air fryer with parchment paper and pipe the churros. Spray with butter cooking spray and cook at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.  

Spray with cooking butter spray again and toss in the spiced sugar.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
