What Is An Air Fryer?
Air fryers have become increasingly popular in recent years to cook food with less fat and calories. But what exactly is an air fryer? How does it work?
An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that uses hot air to cook food. It is similar to a convection oven, but it also has a fan that circulates the hot air around the food. This hot air circulation makes the food cook evenly and gives it a crispy texture.

Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Cheeseburger Bombs

- Steak Seasoning
- Bacon
- Pillsbury Biscuits
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese

How To Make Air Fryer Cheeseburger Bombs
Add your hamburger and steak seasoning to a large skillet, and cook until the meat is fully browned and cooked.
Drain, fold in the cooked bacon, Divide your biscuits into two pieces, place about one tablespoon of filling into the center of the dough and sprinkle with the cheddar cheese.
Use your hands to close the seams.
Place into the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 320 degrees F. Air fryer setting and cook for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with your favorite hamburger toppings.
Ingredient Notes:
Ground Beef: For best results, use lean ground meat. Otherwise, you will find that the grease will leak through onto the dough. YOu can also use ground bison, ground lamb, ground turkey, or chicken for a leaner option. I also love using ground Italian sausage and chorizo, which add some heat to the dish.
Steak Seasoning: I use my favorite, Montreal Steak Seasoning, but any steak seasoning in your pantry will work.
Bacon: You can use air fryer turkey bacon or even use air fryer caramelized bacon for this recipe.
Biscuits: I use flaky grand biscuits, which tend to hold their shape better than regular store-bought biscuits.
Cheese: For best results, grate your shredded cheese since pre-shredded cheese contains wood pulp, and therefore the cheese doesn’t melt as well.
Pro Tips:
Crowding: For best results, do not crowd the air fryer basket. Otherwise, the dough will not perfectly cook up. For best results, leave about 1 inch around the cheeseburger bombs so the dough cooks up perfectly.
Flipping: Depending on what air fryer you own, you may need to flip the breakfast bombs halfway during the cooking process. This way, both sides become golden brown.
Cooking In An Air Fryer Oven; Making these in an air fryer oven, no problem, palace the tray on the lowest shelf. The inside has time to cook without the top becoming too brown.
Seams: Use your fingers and pinch the dough closed. This way, the filing stays into the cheeseburger bomb.
Parchment Paper: if you find that your dough is sticking, use either a piece of parchment paper or use a reusable silicone liner, which will help prevent the dough from sticking to the air fryer basket
