How To Make Air Fryer French Onion Dip
Step One: Start by cutting your onions into thin slices. Then place the butter and cut-up onions into a small skillet. Cook until the onions are caramelized and start to turn golden brown; season with garlic, salt, and thyme. Mix in the beef broth, and continue to saute everything until most of the beef broth evaporates.
Step Two: Then get out your air fryer-safe pan, and toss the onions mixture at the bottom. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, 1/4 of a cup of the shredded, and the Parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Spread that over the onion mixture. Finish it off with the rest of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Set in the air fryer basket and set the time for 9 minutes at 250 degrees F. After the 5 minutes. Check to see if it is bubbling.
Air Fryer French Onion Dip Recipe Tips
- Use Quality Beef Broth: Choose a high-quality beef broth or stock for the best flavor.
-
Mix Cheeses Thoroughly: Ensure your cream cheese is softened before mixing it with sour cream and mayonnaise.
-
Seasoning is Key: Don’t skimp on the garlic salt and thyme.
-
Combine Ingredients Carefully: Once the onions are caramelized and the cheese mixture is ready, combine all ingredients gently but thoroughly.
-
Use the Right Baking Dish: Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish that fits in your air fryer. A smaller, deeper dish will keep the dip warm and gooey longer, whereas a wider, shallower dish will create more crispy edges.
- Serve Immediately: French onion dip is best served hot. Have your dipping options ready—such as chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables—so you can enjoy the dip at its peak flavor and texture.
