What is Balsamic Glaze?

Balsamic glaze is a sweet and tangy sauce that can be used as a condiment for foods or poured over the top of them. The ingredients are simple: balsamic vinegar, sugar, and garlic cloves. Although it’s an easy recipe to make at home, many people prefer buying pre-made bottles from their local grocery store. It’s delicious on chicken breasts with roasted vegetables!

The key ingredient in this sauce is balsamic vinegar which has been proven to have many health benefits. First of all, its low-calorie count makes it perfect for anyone trying to lose weight while still eating healthy food more often than not. Balsamic vinegar also contains high levels of antioxidants.

How Do You Know When Balsamic Glaze Has Reduced Enough?

You want to make sure your balsamic glaze is thick enough so that you can coat the back of a spoon yet pourable when it cools. It will continue to thicken while cooling as well- don’t worry if it’s not quite at desirable thickness right away!

If you find that your Homemade Balsamic Glaze is too thick, you can always add some water to thin it out. Mix well before removing it from the heat.
