Air Fryer Greek Fries Recipe Tips
- Choose the Right Potatoes: Russet potatoes are often preferred for fries due to their starchy content.
- Even Cutting: Cut evenly to promote uniform cooking. Thicker cuts can be used for a heartier bite but ensure consistency in size.
- Soaking: Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Dry Thoroughly: Dry the potato strips completely using a kitchen towel or paper towel before seasoning or cooking.
- Season Generously: Consider seasonings such as oregano, garlic powder, and a little lemon zest.
- Add Olive Oil: Toss the fries lightly in olive oil before air frying.
- Avoid Overcrowding: Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Shake or Turn: Halfway through the cooking process, shake the fries.
- Monitor Closely: Depending on the thickness of your fries and the specific air fryer model, cooking times may vary.
