It would help if you had nothing else. You don’t even need salt because they are perfectly seasoned as they are air-fried. No oil, since they don’t need that either. They make an excellent and healthy snack.
How To Make Air Fryer Kiwi Chips
Wash and dry your kiwi. If you have a stick on it, remove it as well. Using a Mandoline slicer, thinly slice the kiwi.
Place them single layer into your air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 330 degrees F, air fryer setting for 5 to 7 minutes.
Some Common Questions About This Recipe
How Do I Dehyrade Kiwi Chips in The Air Fryer?
While this is not a recipe to dehydrate them, the only difference would be to continue cooking them until they are dried out.
Use the same cooking temperature, 330 degrees F, but you will probably need to continue air frying them for about 20 to 30 minutes.
The critical thing to remember is to continue shaking the basket, so they do not burn.
What Do Air Fryer Kiwi Chips Taste Like?
They are sweet but have a great flavor. If you like the taste of kiwi, then you will like these.
You can add a variety of spices if you want to experiment. Some of my favorites would be sea salt, ground nutmeg, and ground cinnamon.
Although the kiwi chips need absolutely nothing, in my opinion, if you are looking to change it out, add some spices.
Do I Need To Peel The Kiwi?
No, absolute not, it’s a great taste when you make it into a chip, and it gives the chip a great crunch.
If You Want the Kiwi Chips Crunchier
Note: If you want the chips harder, add a couple of minutes like a traditional Kettle Chip. I like mine, almost crunchy. Since I am feeding them to kids, add more time if you want them crunchier. But remember to shake the basket as they cook. Otherwise, they will end up burnt.
