How To Make Instant Pot No Peel Hard Boiled Egg

Place the hard boiled eggs into the Instant Pot Bowl. On top of the trivet is helpful, as they won't roll.

1️⃣ Add Water: Pour 1 cup of cold water into the bottom of your Instant Pot.

2️⃣ Place Eggs on Trivet: Place the metal trivet or an egg rack inside. Arrange the eggs in a single layer on top.

3️⃣ Pressure Cook: Lock the lid in place, set the valve to Sealing, and cook on High Pressure for 5 minutes.

4️⃣ Natural Release: Let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, then do a quick release for any remaining pressure.

Place pressure cooked eggs into the ice bath.

5️⃣ Ice Bath: Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and chill for 5–10 minutes to stop the cooking and make peeling easier.

🧊 Peel and Enjoy: Once cooled, peel and use them for snacks, salads, sandwiches, or deviled eggs! This is often called the 5-5-5 method: 5 minutes pressure cook, 5 minutes natural release, 5 minutes in an ice bath.

Instant Pot No Peel Hard Boiled Eggs Recipe Tips

  • Use fresh eggs for the best results; older eggs tend to peel easier but may affect texture.
  • Make sure to place the eggs in a single layer on the trivet to ensure even cooking.
  • Allow the natural pressure release time to avoid overcooking and prevent rubbery yolks.
  • Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop cooking and help with easy peeling.
  • If you want softer yolks, reduce the pressure cooking time by 1-2 minutes.

Storing

Store leftover hard boiled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Keep them unpeeled until ready to eat to maintain freshness and prevent drying out. 🥚❄️

What makes these eggs “no peel”? The eggs are cooked inside a silicone mold or covered so the shells don’t stick, making peeling unnecessary or much easier.

Can I cook them without a silicone mold? Yes, you can cook eggs on a trivet, but peeling may be more challenging.

How long do I pressure cook the eggs? Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes, followed by a natural release for 5 minutes.

How do I store leftover eggs? Keep them refrigerated in an airtight container for up to one week.

Can I freeze hard boiled eggs? Freezing whole eggs is not recommended as texture changes; it’s better to use fresh.
