Instant Pot Cranberry Sauce is one of the best and easiest ways to make homemade cranberry sauce in minutes!
Every year around Thanksgiving, I make my cranberry sauce with a little twist. I use the juice of one orange to give it some zing and cut down on sugar. It’s easy to make your own cranberry sauce, but if you’re in a hurry, there are plenty of jars at the grocery store that will do just fine. So go ahead and whip up this recipe or grab something off the shelf; either way, you’ll have an amazing Thanksgiving dinner!
This is the time of year when cranberry sauce is a must. You can opt for a simple recipe or try something more elaborate, but either way, it’s going to be delicious!
The instant Pot or Ninja Foodi is an easy way to make this recipe, and in less than 10 minutes, you can have fresh (not canned) cranberry sauce.

What is Cranberry Sauce?
Cranberry Sauce is a traditional Thanksgiving dish that you can prepare in minutes. It’s made of fresh cranberries, sugar, water and often contains orange juice. If you’re making it from scratch, there are also spices you can add, such as cinnamon or cloves, to the mix for added flavor. The sauce ends up being a sweet-tart condiment that is deliciously served on top of your turkey or alongside mashed potatoes and stuffing!

Place the lid onto the Instant Pot and set the manual high temperature for 1 minute. When the timer beeps, let it naturally release. When you remove the lid, stir in the sugar, press the saute button, and continue to mix. Continue to saute until it’s all hot.
CAN CRANBERRY SAUCE BE MADE AHEAD OF TIME?
The holidays are my favorite time of year. I love the food, the people, and most importantly, all that is family. My family is coming over for Thanksgiving dinner this year, and I am excited to make a traditional meal with all of our favorites like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes (sans gravy), green beans, cranberry sauce—oh yes!
But one thing has me stumped: can cranberry sauce be made ahead of time? Well, it turns out you can indeed make this delicious dish ahead of time! Prepare this dish the day before, and then cover and refrigerate it until it’s time to eat!
CAN I REDUCE THE SUGAR OR REPLACE WITH HONEY?
Cooking with honey is a tasty way to reduce the amount of sugar in your recipes. Honey has natural sugars similar to white sugar, but it also has other nutrients like vitamin B6 and potassium. You can use honey instead of white sugar in this recipe. If you want this to be healthier or diabetic-friendly, reduce the sugar to 1/4 of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup of honey.
HOW TO STORE CRANBERRY SAUCE
This is an easy recipe to store. Cover and then place into the refrigerator. This cranberry sauce will last for about 1 to 2 days.
