What Is An Air Fryer?

An air fryer is a device that cooks by circulating hot air around the food. This means that you can get the crispy texture of deep-frying without using any oil. Air fryers are becoming increasingly popular, as they are a healthier option than traditional frying methods. They are also relatively easy to use, making them an excellent choice for novices and experienced cooks alike.

How to Cook Trader Joe’s Shawarma Chicken Thighs

This package of Chicken Shwarmaa is sold in a sauce, which keeps it moist and tender until ready to air fry it. Remove the chicken from the package, and discard the sauce.

Place the chicken shawarma into the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 390 degrees F, air fryer setting and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

If you are making this in an air fryer oven, place it on the bottom level; this way, both the top and bottom will be perfect.

Cooking Time and Temperature

How long to cook Trader Joe’s Shawarma Chicken Thighs in the air fryer? Air fry chicken shawarma at 390 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Remember, since all air fryers are slightly different, cook until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F by placing your meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken.

Leftovers

Cooked Trader Joe’s chicken shawarma can last up to 3-4 days in the fridge once cooked. Reheat individual portions on high for 2 minutes, or until heated through!

Once you cook, Trader Joe’s Shawarma Chicken Thighs do not freezer it; otherwise, when it is defrosted, it tastes different.

How to Serve Shawarma Chicken Thighs

When it comes to shawarma, the possibilities are endless on what you can do with the meat. It’s most commonly served wrapped up in a tortilla; add a few french fries.

You can also serve it with tabouleh or falafel or place it on a garden salad. My kids love it served over a bowl of rice.
