How To Make Air Fryer Roasted Mix Nuts
In a small mixing bowl, add the peanuts.
In a small ramekin, add the olive oil and spices and mix well.
Pour the olive oil and spice mixture over the mixed nuts. Stir to coat the mixed nuts, making sure they have some oil on them so they get roasted in the air fryer. Spread the nuts onto the air fryer tray or basket. Set the temperature to 320 degrees F for 5 minutes. (air fryer setting)
Ingredients Notes:
Nuts: I recommend using a variety of nuts in this recipe to allow for even roasting! Smaller types, like pistachios and peanuts, will not roast just as well as bigger ones.
Other possibilities include pecan or macadamia. This is an excellent way to perfectly roast a batch of peanuts! So good and easy!
Oil: Any high heat oil will work in this recipe, from olive oil to avocado oil, coconut oil, or even sunflower oil. The key is to make sure that all nuts are covered, so they all roast up!
Seasonings: You can add any herbs that you want. Some of my favorites are holiday spices such as apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice. But you can also use cayenne pepper or hot sauce to add some spice to your mixed nuts.
How do I store my nuts once they’re roasted?
Nuts are great for snacking, but they can go rancid if not stored properly.
Since roasting nuts is a common kitchen task, many cooks wonder how I store my roasted nuts? There are several options for storing roasted nuts. One option is to place them in an airtight container and refrigerate or freeze them. Another option is to put the plate of cooled roasting nuts into an airtight container and cool at room temperature before placing the lid on the container. A third option is to leave your freshly-roasted nuts out on your countertop for up to two weeks without worry that they will spoil because they’ve been cooked already.
