Drain Peaches

Drain the juice from the peaches into a heavy-bottom saucepan and whisk in the cornstarch, ground cinnamon, and salt. Ensure the mixture is well combined.

Cook over medium-low heat until the mixture starts simmering. Stir continuously and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture thickens into a syrup. Stir in the lemon juice, almond extract, and vanilla extract, and remove from heat. Fold in the peaches.

Prepare the Air Fryer:

Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting. Spray the basket or tray with cooking oil to prevent the pie from sticking to the basket/tray.

Some Common Questions Asked About Making Air Fryer Peach Pie

Can I Use Canned Peaches?

Absolutely, are you are in a rush or peaches are not in season, substitute the homemade peach pie filling for canning.

I would warm the pie filling up in the microwave or a small saucepan and then proceed with the recipes, as directed below.

Can you bake pies in an air fryer?

Absolutely, they make wonderful.

You do have to work at getting the bottom of the pie crust crispy for this; I usually bake it for a few minutes before adding my filling. So that the crust is partially cooked before adding the pie filling for a completely cooked pie. But that would really depend on the air fryer you own and where the heating element is located.

What Type of Peaches Can Be Used?

You can use any peaches that you want. The easiest ones to cook with are Free-Stone Peaches.

Since a Free-Stone peach pit does not attach to the fruit, it’s easier to separate, making it ideal for canning, baking, and eating!

How do you reheat an air fryer pie?

If you have a leftover piece of peach pie that you would like to reheat, add it to the air fryer at about 320 degrees F, air fryer setting, and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes.

Remove when the pie is hot; this way, you do not overcook the pie.

You can also warm the pie slice in the microwave and heat until warm.

Can I put aluminum foil in an air fryer?

Yes, just be careful not to block all holes in the air fryer basket.

Otherwise, the foil will block the airflow in the basket, causing your foods not to cook adequately.

Can I freeze Air Fryer Peach Pie?

You can absolutely freeze these for a make-ahead summer treat. The key is to allow the pie to cool to room temperature, then freeze.

To freeze: Let the peach pie cool to room temperature, then place it on a baking sheet, which has been lined with parchment paper. Place the baking sheet into the freezer until the peach pies are frozen.

Place the frozen peach pies into a freezer bag or a freezer-safe container.

They will last between 1 and 2 months.

Can I use frozen peaches?

If peaches are not in season, you can absolutely switch out the fresh peaches for frozen peaches.

Another option is using canned peaches in natural juices as a substitute.

Both options work wonderfully.
