SOME COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT MAKING AIR FRYER MOZZARELLA STICKS-

How long do you air fry frozen mozzarella sticks?

You will want to cook your mozzarella sticks at 390 degrees for about 12 minutes. With an air fryer, you will find the temperature and cooking time can vary. So make sure to keep an eye on your air fryer sticks to ensure they don’t overcook.

How Long Do You Put Mozzarella Sticks In the Air Fryer?

Place the breaded mozzarella sticks into the air fryer and follow the directions in the recipe card below. The important thing to remember is not to crowd the mozzarella sticks, do not stack them, and spry them with olive oil spray, which will help them become golden brown.

Can you cook Mozza Sticks in an Actifry?

How Do I Cook Frozen Mozzarella Sticks?

How Do You Keep Mozzarella Sticks From Exploding?

If you find that your cheese sticks are constantly exploding, you have two options; the first is easy, just freeze the cheese sticks longer.

The second would be to double coat the cheese sticks, make sure to re-freeze after each coating, meaning:

  • Flour
  • Egg Wash
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Freeze
  • Flour
  • Egg Wash
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Freeze

How Do You Deep Fry Mozzarella Sticks?

If you have a deep fryer and want to use this recipe, prepare the recipe exactly as shown and then place it into a deep fryer at 375 degrees F until they are golden brown.

What to serve with mozzarella sticks?

Serve your sticks plain, pair with marinara, or even ranch dressing. Traditional mozzarella sticks are served with marinara. It compliments each other perfectly.

You can make a homemade marinara sauce or venture out and buy your favorite store brand sauce. Warm it up on the stove, and then dip the warm mozzarella sticks in the sauce.

Why do you freeze the cheese before air frying?

Freezing your cheese is going to help firm up the cheese a bit. If you skip this step, you will find all your cheese has a higher chance of oozing and making a mess in your air fryer.

If you freeze the cheese, it will take longer to warm up, giving you the perfect cheese pull texture when you pull your cheese sticks apart or bite into them!

Can I use seasoned bread crumbs?

If you have the Italian seasoned bread crumbs on hand instead of plain, go right ahead and use that and omit the Italian seasoning in the recipe. It will help give your recipe the seasoning you want without adding Italian seasoning and bread crumbs.

CAN I FREEZE MOZZARELLA STICKS AFTER I MAKE THEM?

Yes, if you want to make a huge batch to stock up, freeze them, as directed. Once they are completely frozen, remove them from the baking sheet, and place the frozen mozzarella sticks into a large Ziploc bag.

They should last about 2 to 3 months.

When you are ready to air fry them, follow the directions in the recipe below.

HERE ARE SOME TIPS FOR MAKING THE PERFECT AIR FRYER MOZZARELLA STICKS

  • You need to freeze the mozzarella sticks until they are frozen. Otherwise, they will explode in the air fryer.
  • Make sure that the basket is coated with olive oil before adding the mozzarella sticks. Otherwise, they will stick to the basket as they air fry.
  • Space your mozzarella sticks out, which will allow them to cook properly; The air fryer works by circulating the hot air around the food, allowing it to cook evenly.
  • Low-fat cheese sticks do not come out as regular cheese sticks; the texture becomes almost rubbery, so if you are going to go through the process of making them, treat yourself.

How Does An Air Fryer Work?

The air fryer works by using hot air that circulates the food, crisping it up.  The important thing to remember about the air fryer is cooking the food by circulating hot air.

Therefore if you stack your mozzarella sticks and restrict the airflow, the mozzarella sticks will not crisp up. So for best results, do not crowd or stack your mozzarella sticks.

Can you put tin foil in an air fryer?

Yes, it is safe to use aluminum foil in the air fryer. For best results, remember to read your instruction manual.

Ensure that the aluminum foil is weighed down correctly, so there is no chance that the foil hits the heating element, which can be dangerous.
