How To Make Air Fryer Chocolate Muffins

Step 1: In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder. Whisk until evenly mixed.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

Step 4: Lightly grease silicone muffin cups or ramekins with cooking spray. Spoon the batter into the cups, filling about two-thirds full.
Step 5: Preheat the air fryer to 320°F. Place the muffin cups in the basket and cook for 10–12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 6: Carefully remove muffins and let them cool slightly before serving.

Air Fryer Chocolate Muffins Recipe Tips
- Use high-quality cocoa powder: Enhances chocolate flavor.
- Do not overmix batter: Overmixing can make muffins dense and tough.
- Fill cups properly: Fill muffin cups about two-thirds full to avoid overflow.
- Check doneness early: Air fryer models vary; use a toothpick to test.
- Customize flavors: Add chocolate chips, nuts, or a pinch of espresso powder for extra richness.
- Cool slightly before serving: Prevents muffins from crumbling and improves texture.
Storing Instructions
- Room Temperature: Store muffins in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Refrigerator: Keep in a sealed container for up to 4 days.
- Freezer: Wrap individually in plastic wrap or foil and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature before eating.
- Reheating: Warm in the air fryer at 300°F for 2–3 minutes or microwave for 15–20 seconds.

Air Fryer Chocolate Muffins Recipe Faqs
Can I use a different type of flour? Yes! All-purpose flour works best, but you can try whole wheat or a gluten-free blend, adjusting liquid as needed.
Can I make these dairy-free? Absolutely. Use plant-based milk and dairy-free butter or oil.
Can I add mix-ins? Yes! Chocolate chips, nuts, or even a pinch of espresso powder work great for extra flavor.
How do I prevent muffins from sticking? Use silicone muffin cups or lightly grease ramekins with cooking spray.
How do I know when muffins are done? Insert a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean when fully cooked.
Can I double the recipe? Yes, but cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer for even baking.

Very nice muffins, The recipe makes 6 very large muffins so if using normal sized cases I would recommend halving the recipe.

Hi question. In the air fryer do you press the air fry option or bake option? Is there a difference in outcome?
