Easy Air Fryer Chocolate Muffins

My kids ate them, the minutes, I placed them on the kitchen table. These tasted so good, almost as good as the bakery. They are rich and chocolatey, and contain chocolate in every bite, yummy!
Everyone in our family loves the double punch of the chocolate, both by using unsweetened cocoa powder and by adding chocolate chips. They make a perfectly sinful breakfast.

How To Make Chocolate Muffins The Air Fryer
Start by mixing all of the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Then add all of the wet ingredients.
Mix well, scrape the sides, to get all of the batter incorporated in. Then fold in the chocolate chips, mix well.
Spray your muffin tin with olive oil. And then pour it into a muffin tin, that will fit into the air fryer, see my recommendations below, and follow the rest of the instructions in the recipe card.
Air Fryer Chocolate Muffins Recipe Tips
-
Use Quality Cocoa Powder: For the best chocolate flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder. This will give your muffins a rich and deep chocolate taste.
-
Don’t Overmix the Batter: Overmixing can make the muffins dense. Mix the ingredients until just combined to keep the muffins light and fluffy.
-
Use Silicone Muffin Cups: Silicone cups are great for air fryers as they are flexible and ensure the muffins come out easily without sticking.
-
Check for Doneness Early: Start checking your muffins a few minutes before the recommended cooking time. Every air fryer is different, and you don’t want to overcook your muffins.
-
Add Mix-Ins: Enhance your muffins with mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit. Fold them into the batter gently.
-
Fill Muffin Cups Properly: Fill the muffin cups about 2/3 full to give the muffins room to rise without overflowing.
-
Grease the Muffin Cups: Even if you’re using silicone or paper liners, lightly greasing them can help prevent sticking.
-
Cool Before Removing: Let the muffins cool in the silicone cups or liners for a few minutes before removing them. This helps them set and makes them easier to handle.
-
Store Properly: Store any leftover muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze them.
-
Experiment with Flavors: Don’t be afraid to experiment by adding different extracts like vanilla or almond, or by adding spices like cinnamon for a unique twist.
-
Use Fresh Ingredients: Ensure your baking powder and baking soda are fresh for the best rise and texture in your muffins.

Very nice muffins, The recipe makes 6 very large muffins so if using normal sized cases I would recommend halving the recipe.

Hi question. In the air fryer do you press the air fry option or bake option? Is there a difference in outcome?
