How To Make Air Fryer Cool Ranch Doritos

Cut the Tortillas: Start by cutting the corn tortillas into triangles. This shape is classic for Doritos and will give you the authentic chip experience.

Lightly Coat with Oil: Lay the tortilla triangles on a flat surface. Lightly spray them with olive oil. This will help the seasoning to adhere to the tortillas without making them greasy. Preheat your air fryer temperature to 350 degrees F (175°C), for 3-5 minutes.
Arrange in the Air Fryer: Place the tortilla triangles in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s important not to overcrowd them to ensure they cook evenly.
Cook in Batches: Set cook time for 4-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.

Mix the Seasonings: In a small bowl, combine the dry ranch seasoning mix, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cheese powder, and a pinch of sugar. Mix them thoroughly to create your Cool Ranch seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the tortilla triangles. Make sure to coat them evenly. You can toss them gently in a bowl to ensure all sides are covered.
Cool Before Serving: Let the chips cool for a few minutes after cooking. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

Cool Ranch Doritos Recipe Tips
- Use Fresh Tortillas: For the best texture, use fresh corn tortillas. Older tortillas may not crisp up as well.
- Don’t Overcrowd the Air Fryer: To ensure even cooking and crispiness, arrange the tortilla triangles in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to allow air circulation.
- Adjust Seasoning to Taste: If you prefer a spicier kick, feel free to add extra chili powder or cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- Coat Evenly: Make sure each tortilla triangle is well-coated with the seasoning mixture for consistent flavor in every bite.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheating your air fryer for a couple of minutes ensures your chips cook evenly and crisp up faster.
- Check for Crispness: Different air fryers cook at different speeds, so keep an eye on your Doritos as they cook to ensure they don’t burn. You want them golden and crispy, not dark brown.
