Air Fryer Gingerbread Candied Pecans Recipe Tips

  • Shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even roasting and prevent burning.
  • Watch closely during the last few minutes—sugars can caramelize quickly and turn bitter if overcooked.
  • Coat the pecans thoroughly with butter or oil so spices stick evenly.
  • Cool completely before storing; the nuts crisp up as they cool.
  • Experiment with spices like extra cinnamon or nutmeg to customize the gingerbread flavor.
  • Use a single layer in the air fryer for optimal roasting and uniform texture.

Storing Instructions

  • Room Temperature: Store cooled pecans in an airtight container for up to 1–2 weeks.
  • Refrigeration: Keep in the fridge for up to 1 month to maintain freshness and crunch.
  • Freezing: For longer storage, freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
  • Re-crisping: If pecans soften, briefly toast in the air fryer at 300°F for 2–3 minutes before serving.
