Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Apple Cake
- Brown Sugar
- Eggs
- Apples
- All-Purpose Flour
How To Make Air Fryer Apple Cake
Add the brown sugar and eggs to a large mixing bowl, mix until the mixture is smooth.
Then add the flour and mix well.
Fold the apples into the batter, mixing, so they are evenly distributed.
Spray your cake pan with olive oil spray. Pour the batter into the bowl, and set it into the air fryer at 320 degrees F for 12-15 minutes. Before removing, stick a toothpick in the center of the cake to make sure it’s fully cooked. If not, add a couple of minutes.
Note: The exact time will depend on what air fryer you own and how thick your cake pan is. I do not recommend a very thick cake pan, as the center will not cook.
Some Common Questions Asked About Air Fryer Apple Cake–
Can I Use Gluten Flour?
Yes, I made this several times by substituting the flour. However, I find that King Arthur’s Flour works best.
I have not used almond flour, but I am assuming that it would work exactly as Gluten-Free flour.
What Types Of Apples Should I Use?
You can use whatever you have on hand; this is an easy recipe to use after apple picking.
I tend to use Gala, as they are sweeter, but any baking apple would do great in this recipe.
How Do I Store This Air Fryer Apple Cake?
If you have any leftover, use some saran wrap, wrap it up, and place it in the refrigerator.
It will last about 2 to 3 days.
What Pan Should I Use?
The most common problem that people have is that the cake does not fully cook. If this happens, this usually does because the pan is too, too thick for any air fryer to cook up.
It would help if you remembered that an air fryer works by the hot air spins around the food, cooking it perfectly. The hot air needs to be able to get into the center of the cake. The best way to do that is that you need to use a thin pan. Here are several that I have had success with. (affiliate links included)

I made this cake with cooking apples from my daughters trees. The recipe was so simple to follow. I cooked the cake in my air fryer in 8″ cake tin and was so pleased with the result. I have since made another couple of cakes with equal success. When my son, who is quite a fussy eater, called round I offered him a slice to try. I asked hom what he thought, he responded by saying you won’t think me greedy if I have another slice. Result!
